The Introduction

The Charles H. Mason Theological Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center (hereafter cited as ITC) is the official school for graduate theological education in the Church of God in Christ. Because of its membership in the ITC, the Charles H. Mason Theological Seminary is the only fully accredited, African- American Pentecostal Seminary in the world. It maintains a strong presence in the professional and academic communities and develops many men and women for ministry and Christian service throughout the world. Mission Statement of the Charles H. Mason Theological Seminary

The overall charge of the Charles H. Mason Theological Seminary is to educate men and women, credential holders and non- credential holders for ministry and other forms of service in the Church of God in Christ, and for careers in religious education in the global community. The Charles H. Mason Theological Seminary positions men and women to advocate for a liberating and transforming spirituality, where the Baptism of/in the Holy Spirit and the life of the mind intersect.
